Today, I like to write a post about a great razor company: Wilkinson Sword. Wilkinson Sword, founded in London in 1772, was first manufacturing swords, and then started to produce different kind of gardening tools and shaving accessories like razors and razor blades. Wilkinson Sword has also manufactured in the past guns, bayonets, and other objects such as typewriters, garden shears, scissors, and motorcycles. Wilkinson Sword has manufactured all its ranges of products in three UK sites over its history: in Chelsea and Acton next to London, Cramlington in Northumberland and Bridgend in Wales, where they made gardening tools. In 2000, an executive decision was made to close its razor plant in the UK and consolidated its growing production in Germany. (more…)
