Monday, December 8th, 2008Pogonotomia is the art of shaving, from the Greek words “pogos” beard and “témno“, to cut. People often misuses pogonotomy with pogonotrophy with refers to the art of cultivating a beard (“trophy” meaning nourishment, growth).
Trivia: The Greeks and especially the Romans, kept the hair from their first shaves in “ornate receptacles”.
