Gillette 1909 Safety Razor advert

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

This is Gillette’s adverts day! God I love looking at these old adverts for Gillette Safety Razors. I’ve found another great one, from 1909, it’s a French advert which shows the Gillette razor as the King of the razors (Le sacre du roi des rasoirs). The advert underlines that the safety razor does not need sharpening, and that it’s a great gift which worthes a lot and doesn’t cost much. For the French learners, safety razor is translated by “rasoir de sureté“.
